Observation Information Model#

An observation is everything that happens between when the MAJIS instrument is turned on to acquire a scientific target data, and then off. A sequence of observations of a given type can be repeated over a period of time to complete or achieve higher scientific objectives.

Observation opportunities can be identified and evaluated for planning. Observations can be simulated, proposed for planning, planned, executed. When successful, observation telemetry data (TN) are processed and stored in form of data cubes, or data cube files.

The following diagram illustrates an high-level ‘observation-centered’ information model to be used across MORS system:
